Ohh, Italy... I visited you 3 years ago for 3 hours in Venice and it wasn't love at first sight but I saw so many amazing pictures from Italy with beautiful nature and architecture that I decided to give a chance.. And it was so worth it! At the same time, I bought tickets to Bologna because... it was cheap! Yes, sometimes your decisions can be affected by cheap plane tickets which is not so bad especially when you thought about Italy at the beginning. Bologna was a good decision to stay as well. Kind of quiet, with beautiful architecture which have earth tones in every building, artistic atmosphere and last but not least - delicious food/drinks. Check this out!

Usually when travelers visit Bologna they only visit popular places like "Piazza Maggiore" and "Basilica di San Petronio" (pictures at the top) but I recommend to spend some more time in Bologna and walk around with no purpose, because you'll see a lot of secrets gems ;) There's few pictures from those places (they are so random, that I can't mention any specific name of it)

Okay, so when you're feeling that you saw a lot of in Bologna, it's time to visit other places which are near Bologna (with bus 2-3 hours). And one smart tip: Go with buses, not with trains because train ticket cost's unfairly a lot of money and buses are comfy, with wi-fi connection, big windows and 2 floors so it's a big chance you will sit high and see a lot! :)
So my next stop was Florence. Luckily, all day was sunny and warm and Florence showed up so charming and with lot's of beautiful - stylish people that it would be an offense not to visit this city when you're in Bologna.

Talking about the sunset I experienced in Florence, I can write separate blog post about it but long story short, if you want to experience the most magical sunset, go to watch it in Piazzale Michelangelo, it was the best!

After visiting Florence we thought where to go next and it wasn't easy because we wanted to visit Verona and Milan but we had to decide only one way. While we planned and checked tickets , we were drinking Aperol Spritz (popular alcoholic drink in Italy) And our "drunk" thoughts decided to choose - Milan :D
Tickets were bought, we're heading to Milan from Bologna, sun was shining all the time but we weren't feeling quite well :D and it wasn't because of Spritz, but I think we were too tired from traveling with bus around and then suddenly, Milan was with lots of people, Duomo Cathedral was full of people posing for pictures, no cheap place to eat, tones of shopping centres and we had some mood swings at the moment.
Also, in my case, it was not the best idea to come here for 3 hours, when you have a ride for 3 hours (altogether - 6 hours) and ticket costs 50 euros for 2 people round trip.
Oh and by the way, if you don't want to spend lots of money in Milan, don't drink or eat at restaurants which are near Duomo because for 2 black teas I paid 10 euros. I needed so much to get to the toilet that I had no choice (lol) but however, You decide it's worth or not.
Still, Milan can be proud of impressive architecture, fashionable people all around and alive streets. One day in a life time it's good to experience!

So it's the end of this blog post and to summarize this trip I would say, that I really enjoyed Italy and I felt blessed to be there, to enjoy amazing sunsets and to see lots of fashionable people. I promise, it's not the last time in Italy. Can't wait for another time while I'll be wandering there and catching another sunny days. <3
